"Sub"-Pods with selected members / appointment types
Jason Langenauer
Currently, the TimeZest pod includes a list of all members, and all appointment types in the TimeZest account. This can be unwieldy for MSPs with a large number of members, or a large number of appointment types.
This feature would allow administrators to generate new pod configurations, which only show certain members, or certain appointment types, so that - for example, the help desk team could have a help desk pod with only help desk team members, and help desk appointment types, but a sales team could have a separate pod with their members and appointment types.

Dispatch scheduling

Currently TimeZest assumes self-scheduling, but in a dispatch model, a few people are scheduling many techs.
We also have multiple departments that handle their own dispatching.
Right now, all active members appear in a collective list in the TimeZest pod.
1) Thoughts on the ability to activate a member as either the Scheduler, or the one being Scheduled? Schedulers would not be displayed in the drop down & might have a different pricing model.
2) Allowance for schedule groups, maybe similar to the request to allow team or pool scheduling, so when you select from the available members in the drop-down, you only see those applicable to the resource team/board/custom TimeZest group, etc......so you don't see everyone that is active in Time Zest. ex: our field services team doesn't need to see the help desk team, or the copier team doesn't need to see the IT team.

I 100% agree with this. We love TimeZest so we use it for ALL sorts of things and have a crazy number of appointment types. The problem is the more you love and use it the messier it gets for our service team whose left trying to scroll through a list of appointment types in the ConnectWise Manage ticket pod making it more challenging with every additional appointment type. Even a simple check box that asks if you want this Appointment Type to show in the pod would be a HUGE upgrade and make our lives so much better.

This could also be lumped in with the other feature request that request different appointment types for different boards. In our case Accounting has a board, Service has a board, etc.
It would be great to get accounting to stop using our Appointments Types and not have to look at theirs!

Hey Jason, I was talking w/Johanna today and wondered if there had been any further consideration around this one -- a means to limit the members that are seen in the drop-down when setting up a TimeZest appointment.
Maybe hand-in-hand w/the request to limit appointment types by board - going deeper to then only show those members that are team members of the team(s) on that board?
AND......... a way to categorize & then sort/filter the members in the TimeZest drop down to find who you're looking for -
example = we have 100+ names in the list but no way to know who's who. We aren't using team scheduling in this situation, but want to pick someone specific
-- can we add a 'team' categorization to each person's name = Amy-red team, Jason-blue team.......so I can figure out who goes with which team? Hope that makes sense :-)
Thanks!

Any movement on this one? We are re-re-reviewing our use of TimeZest and piloting with some other teams, but when we add those users, we won't have any way to know which members are on our copier team, which are on our platform ops team & which are from our internal support team. We need some addt'l identifier that will allow us to associate (and sort?) members by a designation or other value to know who's who. TY!

Amy Jahraus: Hi Amy, we've been thinking a little bit about this, and it's definitely firming up as something we'll implement, but we haven't decided on a design or a timeframe yet.

I also like this idea, an alternative would be a "resource type" where only appointments available to that resource would be shown but would expand if multiple resource types are included in the scheduling. So for instance, Helpdesk Tech has access to 15, 30, 60 minute Phone Call appointment types but if you add a Project Manager to the appointment in addition to the Helpdesk Tech, you'll see appointments for Project Kick Off and Check In appointment types.

YES!! This is exactly what we need to best utilize TimeZest w/in our organization. We have multiple care teams w/in our MSP, and separate groups for voice, copier, a/v, cloud, data, etc. Being able to customize the members and appointment types for each would be extremely beneficial to us. Another thought is by skill set, too. Thanks!

1) There's actually no requirement at all for the scheduler to be activated in TimeZest, so you can already do what you suggest. Anyone with access to the pod can generate a scheduling request.
2) This is definitely something we're thinking about, but there's a lot of diversity in the ways different partners use Manage, so we want to develop something that works for everyone (or at least most people).
