I agree with Sam, the don't let them reschedule less than X mins or hours before an appointment would be ideal.

That will be a very useful option. Furthermore, it will be helpful to have an option that prevents them to re-scheduled x min before the appointment. We've had users re-schedule few min before an onsite appointment when someone is already on the way!

wow, that's a good point. I haven't seen it badly used here, but our use case is probably minimal compared to some.
